We are recruiting students for a paid freelance on-site interpreting project in the Salzgitter area from August 2026 to August 2027 (exact dates TBC). This role is ideal for students of Interpreting, Translation, Automotive Engineering, or related fields.
Responsibilities
- Consecutive/liaison interpreting between Mandarin Chinese and German
- Supporting communication between machine suppliers, engineers, maintenance teams and production staff
Requirements
- Native Mandarin Chinese
- German at C1 level or above
- Available for on-site shift work (morning, afternoon, evening and night)
- Interpreting experience preferred but not required
- Eligible to work in Germany
